Oh no.
Just when I thought I had a money-making idea, it turns out everyone has the same one.
Just a couple of days ago I was planning to retire on the proceeds of setting up SocksReunited.com. But thanks to a discovery at Something ~ better than nothing, it looks like I am going to have to go back to sweeping the streets.
It's just not fair.
I'm thinking of making this a photoblog. It's easier to take photos than to write, sometimes. This was taken just down the road, early yesterday afternoon.
It looks warm and sunny and almost Spring-like. But it was actually very chilly yesterday, with an icy wind that cut through everything.
There were snowdrops and crocuses out, though. So Spring, though very rusty, is about to spring, I believe.
I might add some more photos in the coming days if I can manage to find a couple of minutes to do so.
The great idea behind having a blog, and using blogging software to update it, was that I could just update when I want. And when I have something to say.
Unfortunately, I'm going through a patch of Blogger's Block at the moment.
It's happened before and I survived. Hang on in there.
Meanwhile, I try to think of brilliant business ideas, now that the big dot com bust has passed and people may be willing to consider once again investing huge pools of money in completely impractical ideas, and spending a fortune on chairs instead of market research.
So here's my latest wheeze: Socks Reunited.
You know, everyone has socks that have only one of the couple remaining. So, you get a huge database of socks (description plus images) and then you can search for a partner for your lonely singletons.
Kind of like Friends Reunited, eBay and Match.com all rolled into one.
Of course, this doesn't really have a business model, and no realistic way of earning an income. If only I thought of it three years ago, when that didn't matter ...
