tchibo rant

Thank you for your response.

Can I please point out (in case you are not aware of it) that your customer service is REALLY REALLY bad.

On 5 April we ordered a number of items including a sandbox.

On 25 April we wrote asking why they had not arrived.

On the same day you replied saying you were having unexpected problems with delivery.

On 2 May we asked for again why our delivery had not arrived.

On 3 May you replied saying that the order had been dispatched on 22 April.

On 5 May the delivery arrived, minus the sandbox. We emailed you to tell you this and ask when the sandbox would arrive.

On 6 May you replied saying that the sandbox would follow within four days.

On 17 May you sent us an email to say you had received the sandbox we had returned.

On the same day we wrote to you pointing out that we had not returned the sandbox, as we had never received it in the first place.

On the same day you wrote to us claiming to have redispatched the sandbox, which would arrive within 14 days.

On the same day, the sandbox finally arrived.

Today, another sandbox arrived.

This is bad, REALLY REALLY bad. We do not want another sandbox. We have no room in the garden for another sandbox. We have no room in the hallway for an unpacked sandbox.

The bottom line is that we are going on holiday on Sunday and we do not want to come back and find an unpacked sandbox lying in the hallway.

This means YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK NOW. If the sandbox has not been collected from here by Saturday, we will assume you do not want it and we will throw it in a skip, or over the fence, or give it away to someone. We are certainly not going to pay for it.

I am going to tell everyone I meet that your customer service is rubbish and they should never buy anything from Tchibo. I am also going to put a copy of this email on my weblog (http://www.lifeasithappens.com/blog/).

Can you please reply urgently to let me know whether you are going to collect the sandbox or whether we should throw it over the fence.

PS Update: In all fairness to Tchibo, they did get back to say we could keep the new sandbox. So we gave it away to some friends, who have two small children. They gave their old and fairly battered sandbox to a children's group. So everyone's happy.
