Okay, this is confusing. We had bright sunny weather at the weekend, and on Monday morning it was mild and rainy. It looked lovely - the snow and cold had gone, the unberable summer heat with flies and mosquitos was far in the future.

Then the cold weather came from the west and snow began to fall at midday. By evening we had a heavy carpet of snow, and it stayed overnight.

This morning it had stopped but now it is snowing lightly again. Tomorrow is officially the first day of spring, and sitting here in my office I just noticed the first mosquito of the year. And a fly, buzzing across the window.

It's the worst of two seasons. I hope one goes away soon.
